Allergy Induced Asthma - Signs Of Asthma Attack
Allergic asthma is what we call the shortness of breath and wheezing that one experiences after going up a flight of stairs or after a strong gust of wind. It is an illness that affects majority of children world-wide. Asthma is the inflammation of the airway tubes. This inflammation causes the airway to swell, thereby constricting the passage way for air. This constriction will lead to lesser air entering the lungs, or in worse cases, totally none at all. This is what is considered dangerous in allergic asthma: loss of breath. Loss of breath in allergic asthma may last for a few minutes with no air entering the lungs. And that is the leading mortality case of the sickness. Some people are overly sensitive to specific objects that once they come in contact with them, they suddenly have difficulty in breathing. These objects are called allergens. It is something that one's body reacts negatively to. Every person has a different type of allergen that irritates their airway. Pollen, dust, peanuts, and seafood are among the common objects people are allergic to. Microscopic bugs, fur from animals such as dogs or cats, cigarette smoke, scented powders, perfumes, cosmetics, cleaning solutions, molds, and eggs can also cause allergic asthma attacks. Asthma affects people in different ways, some cannot breathe while others only have a hard time breathing. Some begins to cough while others feel a constricting pressure in their chest. Therefore, the severity of allergic asthma attacks is different between people along with what causes it. But no matter what is the cause or how severe it is, allergic asthma is a dangerous but treatable condition for everyone.
