Homeopathy Treatment For Asthma

 Asthma is an illness in the respiratory system wherein the patient suffers from constricted airways or too much mucus in the airway. This condition could be triggered thru several agents such as allergies, cold air or stress. For children, the most common reason that leads to this disease is due to common colds. Due to the inflamed airways, a patient suffering from asthma will suffer from short breaths, chest tightening and wheezing. These symptoms only proved that the term asthma is very appropriate for this type of disease since asthma came from the Greek term used for panting or labored breathing.

 There are a lot of known treatments used for this disease. However, these treatments do not provide permanent results for the patient. The patient may feel relieved after applying the treatments but there is no assurance that they will get well from asthma. This law says that if large dosage of a certain drug causes a symptom for a certain disease, small dosage of the same drug could provide cure for that symptom.

 Not all diseases could be cured by homeopathy. There are limited diseases that homeopathy could attend to and that included asthma. For cases of asthma, homeopaths are not limited in the symptoms that the patient is suffering. Homeopaths believe that it would be best to cure the person rather than the illness. During research for the factor that caused asthma, it will include family history, medical history, physical and psychological characteristics of the patient. This would allow the homeopaths to determine the root cause of the disease.

 Homeopathy could apply cure for asthma in two ways, these are classical homeopathy and isopathy. In classical homeopathy, the medication would be derived based from the results of the tests conducted to the patient. In this type of medication, the medicine that will be formulated will be made according to the symptoms of the patient. The medicine that they would come up with should be almost similar to the disease. In isopathy, a diluted solution of the agent causing allergies to the patient will be used. Isopathy is the methodology wherein a patient will be treated on its disease, like asthma, using the agent that caused the patient to suffer from asthma in the first place.

 However, there are still claims that homeopathy is unable to provide relief to several patients. Even if there are quite a number of successful stories related to asthma and homeopathy, some doctors are still reluctant on the effectiveness of this methodology.
